Its was great stay overall

the facilities need to upgrade such as wifi keep disconnect and the carpet need to change

All ok. breakfast was good. Room quite good and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Indoor parking was good. Partial sea view was nice.

WC seat was uncomfortably very close to wall. Occasionally had to suffer from bad smoke sent in corridor and creeping in room sometimes.

Spacious Room Cleanliness Location

During my two-day stay at this hotel, I encountered a mix of positive and negative experiences. Firstly, the room itself was quite impressive. It was spacious, neat, and clean, which is always a plus when you're away from home. However, my enthusiasm took a hit when it came to breakfast. On the first morning, I arrived at the breakfast area between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM, expecting to enjoy some eggs from the station. To my disappointment, I was told that the egg station had already closed for the day, and I had missed my chance. After requesting boiled eggs, I had to wait for 20 minutes to receive them. Hoping to avoid this issue on the second day, I arrived an hour earlier. To my dismay, the same situation unfolded. This time, I sought clarification from another staff member, who informed me that the chef had decided to keep the egg station closed. Their solution was to direct any guest with concerns to the reception desk. In an attempt to resolve this confusing situation, I called the reception desk from the restaurant, which was located on the 10th floor. The reception staff seemed equally puzzled and requested to speak with the waiter who had given me this information. Fortunately, he was present, so I handed him the phone and left them to sort it out. By this point, my disappointment had grown, and I decided to leave the restaurant without having a single bite. What struck me the most during this experience was the evident importance placed on the chef's decision, leaving guests like me feeling bewildered and unsatisfied. This disappointment was further exacerbated by the fact that I paid nearly 90 Saudi Riyals per day for breakfast. To summarize, while the hotel itself offered a comfortable stay, the breakfast experience left much to be desired. The inconsistency in service and the chef's decision to close the egg station without clear communication or alternatives for guests left a sour taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively.

Price is good, but must amend the breakfast, through booking its 70 sar extra as for going directly to the hotel its only 30 sar.

In my room there isn't a qibla direction to know were to pray although there is prayer carpet.

the rooms are very small the furniture it very old there were no towels in the room and when I asked for them thy gave me one towel after 1 hour .. the service is very slow no baggage service

I have done bookings many times in the past from Booking.com, but this time experience was awesome and I found a great deal from booking.com I really appreciate if booking.com keep up the same spirit always for the booking.

Me and my wife really love the hotel room coz it’s cozy! Dining in the 10th floor is amazing with affordable and delicious meals! Facilities are great with swimming pool and steam bath and everything! Mercure is the best hotel so far that we’ve tried here in Khobar! This is a 5 star hotel! It’s highly recommended to anybody!

Nice gym.

Check in was slow. It took 25 minutes and the reception staff didn't really care. No sound-proofing. I could hear the guy in the room next to me talking in the phone (he wasn't shouting...I could hear every word!!)

I was charged mini bar use, although I didn’t use any thing The complimentary coffee and water were not refilled every day I had to ask for it

Felt the standard rooms are quite small for families. Also we had to wait during the check in time.

All was OK. Variety to suit different tastes (Arabs, Middle Eastern, Westerns ...etc) Location is very convenient, close to all major attractions in Al Khobar, and to main roads to Dammam, Riyadh, or airport.

Staff not very much trained to offer all what clients might ask for. Egg station was very well garnished, but the cook was not able to prepare poached eggs!! Orange juice was not natural although it is marked so. Housekeeping was off duty or did not respond starting 10:00 PM

Parking Facility and location near to cornish, but bad experience with other things.

At the time of check-in, there was two receptionist and both are free, but they let me wait for half an hour saying "we have other costumers to check-in and wait please". Despite having infant in my lap they didn't call me and I approached them after waiting. Secondly, they were asking me more money despite me showing booking.com rate and they were saying this is our rate and asked me to cancel the booking if I don't need. After some time they agree with correct price. The room was very dirty and marble floor was sticky with glue or something. Carpet was so dirty that my infants cloths become black while they were playing on floor. Their A/C was not good and you cannot make it below 20 C. I booked for second night also, but seeing their service I cancelled the second night stay. At the time of check-out, I called reception three times to send luggage guy, but nobody came for an hour. I had two infants with me and then I went down to reception to ask for luggage guy, but still no action. Then I tried to shift my luggage my self and me going angry on one of the receptionist, things moved little bit. Very frustrating experience, Not expected this from this chain of Hotel.

Location is perfect, stunning views from rooms, breakfast was very good, and the staff and reception very friendly. Check in and Check out was super fast.

The carpets in our rooms was not vacuumed, crumbs, hair and dirt everywhere.

Checking in takes 20-30 minutes. The receptionist are impolite. No one will answer your call if you want to ring the room service. Lastly, the carpet are dusty and lots of crumbs. Will not pay a visit again.

You were showing the world cup football in the café. And the coffee was very good.

The room air conditioning kept tripping on first entering the room. In the end I found by reducing the fan speed and increasing the set point temperature it stayed on. Rang front desk/engineering on both occasions, but no one came to investigate.
